While we often see children’s behaviors and words as just normal parts of being children, I see it differently. As a mother and someone who truly loves young people, I pay close attention to every tiny expression, question, thought, and idea they share. Honestly, I learn so much from these little ones.
Children are truly gifts from God, they are heaven’s treasures, and treasures from heaven are good things that adds no sorrow.
Children have a natural ability to understand and share the feelings of others. Their kindness and caring nature come so effortlessly, they show compassion and kindness towards friends, family, and even strangers.
Even when you hit a child now and the next minute you call him over to you, he comes with no second thoughts. They forgive easily and hold no grudges.
They are curious by nature, children constantly want to explore, ask questions, and learn about the world around them. They are honest, sincere, and truthful in everything they do.
Every child is unique and intelligent, with an understanding that their actions have consequences; even when they are punished for a wrong, they usually don’t stay angry for long.
They have patience, capable of waiting when told to, instead of always demanding immediate answers, yet having the belief that their request will be met no matter how long it takes.
Though children are young and vulnerable, needing guidance both physically and spiritually, there’s so much we can learn from them. In fact, Jesus used children as examples for us by showing their faith and trust in Him. The Bible encourages us to see children as models for humility and trust, which are important qualities needed to enter the Kingdom of God.
Let us always look beyond their vulnerability and childlike curiosity, and instead focus on their purity of heart and good intentions, as we help guide them through life, we can also learn from them as they learn from us.
